Moo-No is a new way to pay at participating local businesses — designed to reduce payment costs and turn those savings into a benefit for customers and communities.
With Moo-No, you choose what happens to your available benefit.
When you pay with Moo-No at a participating business, you can privately choose between two options:
Keep the benefit yourself.
When Saving Mode is available, your Moo-No benefit reduces the amount you pay.
Skip the savings. The merchant commits that amount from its own funds to its selected nonprofit.
You pay the regular applicable amount, and the merchant makes a corresponding support commitment.
The rate and base are shown at checkout. You are not donating, and you cannot deduct it.
Your choice is made privately in the Moo-No app. There is no need to tell the cashier which option you selected.
At participating businesses, look for the Moo-No tap or QR code.
Tap your phone on the Moo-No NFC tag or scan the QR code to access your checkout.
Privately select Saving Mode or Supporting Mode.
Review your payment and confirm.
The merchant receives confirmation that your Moo-No payment has been completed.
Traditional card payments can impose significant processing costs on local businesses.
Moo-No is designed to reduce those costs and use the resulting benefit differently: you can save on your purchase, or the merchant can commit that amount from its own funds to its selected nonprofit.
No awkward question at the register. No pressure. The choice is yours.
Moo-No gives participating merchants another way to accept in-person payments while reducing payment-processing costs.
Merchants can also choose a nonprofit or community cause they want to support and make that cause available through Supporting Mode.
The same Moo-No app provides a dedicated merchant experience for initiating and confirming Moo-No payments.
Participating merchants can select causes that matter to their businesses and communities.
When a customer selects Supporting Mode, Moo-No records the merchant's corresponding support commitment and provides reporting to help merchants and participating organizations track those commitments.
Moo-No does not collect or process charitable donations on behalf of customers. Participating merchants are responsible for fulfilling their support commitments.
The customer is not the donor.
Whether you save, or the merchant commits, is your decision.
Your choice is made privately through Moo-No rather than through a conversation with the cashier.
Moo-No is preparing to launch with participating local businesses. Look for the Moo-No sign:
