Follow these steps to set up a wallet that can receive payments on the Base blockchain. No crypto experience needed.
Step 1 — Download Coinbase Wallet
Go to
coinbase.com/wallet or search "Coinbase Wallet" in the App Store / Google Play. Install the app on your phone, or add the browser extension on your desktop.
Step 2 — Create a new wallet
Open the app and tap Create a new wallet. You do not need a Coinbase account — this is a self-custodial wallet, meaning only you control it.
Step 3 — Save your recovery phrase
You will be shown a 12-word recovery phrase. Write it down on paper and store it somewhere safe. Never share it with anyone. This phrase is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access.
Step 4 — Switch to the Base network
Inside Coinbase Wallet, tap the network selector (it may show "Ethereum" by default) and select Base. This ensures your wallet address works with Moo-No payments.
Step 5 — Copy your wallet address
Tap Receive or your account name to see your address — it starts with 0x followed by 40 characters. Copy it and paste it into the field above.
